ABOUT BLACK HILLS DIAMONDS

In 1992, Black Hills Diamonds originated from a love story between two hikers in the monumental Black Hills of South Dakota. One day Rhonda and David set out for Black Elk Peak, upon reaching the 7,242 foot summit, David pulled out a bottle of wine, and a set of glasses that he had stowed away in his backpack for the occasion. Once the wine had been poured and they settled in to admire the view, David got down on one knee and proposed to Rhonda with a faceted clear quartz ring. It was the perfect stone, as the couple also shared a love of rock hunting. In 1996, Black Hills Diamonds, was officially born. Decades later this family owned and operated business continues to mine quartz to create natural gem stones for all to experience. Black Hills Diamonds' natural gems are found and assembled in the United States of America. Black Hills Diamonds serve as the perfect ethically sourced alternative.
